Network monitoring and NOC
When a subscriber calls, the person answering should see the session, the link, the open tickets and the balance on one screen. That is the whole point of the NOC view in Veloxiom: network state and customer context in the same place, because that is what shortens the call.
Monitoring and visibility
- SNMP polling of routers, switches and OLTs for traffic, uptime, CPU/memory and interface errors, with graphs per device and per interface.
- Live RADIUS sessions with the assigned IP, current rate limit and the last disconnect reason per subscriber.
- Optical levels (RX/TX) for GPON ONUs next to the subscriber they belong to, so a degrading fiber link is visible before it fails.
- Network map of sites, nodes and links, and IPAM for IPv4 and IPv6 allocations instead of a spreadsheet nobody trusts.
- Alerts on device reachability and thresholds, so an outage does not wait for the first customer call.
Support workflows attached to the network
Helpdesk tickets, CRM leads and technician appointments live on the same customer record as the connection. A ticket can be opened from a failing session, and the technician sees the equipment, the address and the history — including what was changed last time.
Role-based permissions keep NOC staff out of billing and vice versa, and a multi-tenant installation can serve several operators or resellers with separate data and branding.
Frequently asked questions
Does it replace a dedicated NMS?
For most small and mid-size providers it removes the need for a separate one, because the value is the combination with subscriber context. If you already run a large NMS, keep it — the customer-facing views are the part you cannot get there.
How is traffic measured per subscriber?
From RADIUS accounting for PPPoE/DHCP sessions, and via SNMP at the interface level for devices.
Can technicians use it in the field?
Yes — the admin UI is responsive and usable on phones and tablets, including the subscriber and ticket screens.
Is the data mine?
It is self-hosted: your server, your database, exportable at any time.
